FABRICS

At Moleke we combine a sustainable mindset with creative design. We stand for durable fabrics to create products that last. We feel responsible for what we do we educate our customers about materials, and help them make conscious choices.

With this mindset we create high-quality company clothing, trying to convince our customers that less – but better – is more.

We have great experience in selecting certified materials that come from sustainable sources. We prioritize natural fibers but, when there is a clear performance and durability advantage, also use recycled synthetics. We are ready to discuss all options and find one that works best for your needs.

Amni

Amni Soul Eco® biodegradable polyester

Amni Soul Eco® is the only biodegradable polyamide yarn in the world. All clothes made with this innovative technology quickly decompose after being properly disposed of in landfills.

Unlike other popular fibers that take decades to decompose, Amni Soul Eco® biodegradable polyester takes approximately three years to degrade, drastically reducing the environmental impact.

newlife

NewlifeTM

Patented in Italy, Newlife™ is a quality fabric produced using a unique polyester recycling method. The material is made from 100% recycled bottles collected from beaches. Compared to conventional polyester, the production process uses 94% less water and 60% less energy. Thanks to an innovative mechanical recycling method (rather than the standard chemical one), it also produces up to 32% less carbon dioxide emissions.

Tencel

TencelTM

This is a skin-soft material created from wood cellulose and patented by the Austrian company Lenzing. Lenzing is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council®, an organization responsible for the control of forests and all types of wood and paper products. This is a guarantee that the wood pulp is sustainably harvested so as not to lead to deforestation. In addition, it is processed into fiber using a low-toxicity solvent and is recycled in a closed process, meaning that 99.5% of the chemicals are reused.

Much less water is used in the production of Tencel than in the production of other materials such as viscose. This soft yet durable material absorbs moisture to an optimum degree (50% more absorbent than cotton) and has thermoregulatory properties, making it suitable for all seasons.

Organic cotton

Organic cotton is a natural plant-based material extracted from cottonseed. GOTS-certified organic cotton is produced without synthetic chemicals such as fertilizers and pesticides. Its production uses 91% less water (from groundwater and surface water such as lakes and freshwater rivers) than conventional cotton.

Most eco cotton is grown on small farms that use rainwater. Because the plants are not fertilized with pesticides, the level of groundwater pollution is reduced by up to 98% (according to the Water Footprint report). Cotton has high hygroscopic properties, is durable and, most importantly, hypoallergic.

Regenerated nylon waste

Each suit is made with 82% of ECONYL® yarn, a 100% regenerated nylon fiber made from nylon waste otherwise polluting the Earth, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring, and industrial plastic rescued from all over the world.

Recycled cotton

Recycled cotton is made from recycled cotton textiles. Cotton garments are turned into offcuts, which are then dissolved to produce pulp from which yarn is extracted. Recycled yarn is often weaker than new yarn, so yarn blends are used in the production of materials to ensure the stability and durability of the material.

The popularisation of recycled cotton can make a significant contribution to reducing the cultivation of conventional cotton, thereby minimizing the use of water resources and land pollution. In our collections, we primarily use recycled denim cotton for our jeanswear proposals.
